As we follow the Foundation Phase children have free access to choose the activities they want to do, we also base our planning around the interests of the children and build on the knowledge that they already have.
Children enjoy taking part in messy play activities such as play dough, moon sand, water and much more. We also have a vegetable patch in the back garden where the children enjoy growing fruits and vegetables and a colourful array of flowers.
We believe that children learn best through gaining first hand experiences and opportunities to discover the world around them. We are lucky enough to be based in the beautiful area of Menai Bridge and within walking distance of Church Island, Coed Cyrnol and the local park. We try to make use of these areas as often as possible and go for Wellie Walks, picnics and Nature Walks.
During school holidays we take the children on trips around the local area, we have visited the RSPB Centre in Conwy, Sea life centre in Rhyl, Foel Farm, and The Rabbit Farm and also worked with the National Wildlife trust to go on Nature walks.
